Well, I can assure you that this read won't articulate a bitter sense of melancholy but rather a message of hope and belief.
What's all that's happening?
Amid natural catastrophes, amid civil and humanitarian conflicts that rage never-ending wars, amid sloping economies, and among the emergence of ideologies and agendas that erode the quality and well-being of the society. 2023 is in line with all the years where there hasn't been much better change in the humanitarian dimension while technology and advancement have been rapid.
Where am I taking all this?
Well, here's my emphasis on this Christmas, Here's what I believe that the Prince of Peace Lord Jesus Christ can teach us to lead a life that's practically sustainable and potentially applicable in contemporary society.
Comprehending "LOVE"
My core message is on LOVE (let me capitalize :) ) well technically not my message but bringing to you the teachings of Christ.
Well, the common conviction of love is an attribute shown to the one who we choose to love because of what they reciprocate to us. Sadly love today is based on judgement. People express their attribute or character to love based on favoritism but what Christ shows and teaches us is an unconditional one.
His teaching was not to make us love only those who love us, see this revolutionary saying of all times as I quote it straight from Him, "You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you...." (from St.Matt. 5:43-45).
I bet nobody has ever advocated for this kind of love. As far as a Christian is concerned it's not a suggestion but rather a commandment.
But to all my friends out there watch this with your eyes open. This is what Jesus has come to and there's a reason we acknowledge Him as the Prince of Peace.
When everyone of us personally take to ourself the intensity and the greatness of this teaching, the world can be a much more better place and it would be meaningful and worth the celebration we do on Christmas.
Love, prayers and blessings to all with the hope that this little emphasis from my part will lit something for the better and change the way we approach uncertainties and situations where from now on will express love stronger and in a much greater manner.
